A 2-day desert adventure from Marrakech to the Zagora Desert. Cross the spectacular High Atlas Mountains, visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, and experience the magic of the Sahara with a camel trek and overnight under the stars.
Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech – Ouarzazate – Zagora
Departure from Marrakech via the Tichka Pass (2,260 m).
Visit Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah (UNESCO World Heritage).
Lunch in Ouarzazate.
Continue through the scenic Draa Valley to reach the Zagora Desert.
Camel ride of approximately 1h30 to the camp in the dunes.
Enjoy the sunset and dinner under a starry sky.
Accommodation: Berber tent in desert camp (half board).
Day 2: Zagora – Marrakech
Sunrise in the desert and breakfast.
Camel ride back to the starting point.
Drive to Marrakech via Agdz and Ouarzazate (optional visit to Taourirt Kasbah or film studios if time permits).
Lunch en route.
Arrival in Marrakech in the late afternoon/evening.
