A 3-day desert journey linking Fez and Marrakech through Morocco’s most spectacular landscapes — cedar forests, desert dunes, deep gorges, kasbahs, and the High Atlas Mountains.
Itinerary
Day 1: Fez → Ifrane → Azrou → Midelt → Ziz Valley → Merzouga
Morning departure from Fez. Stop in Ifrane ("the Switzerland of Morocco") and the cedar forests of Azrou to see Barbary macaques. Lunch in Midelt. Continue through the Ziz Valley with panoramic views. Arrive in Merzouga, then enjoy a camel trek to the camp. Dinner and overnight in a traditional Berber tent.
Day 2: Merzouga → Todra Gorge → Dades Valley
Sunrise over the dunes. Breakfast and departure towards Rissani and Tinghir. Visit and walk through the impressive Todra Gorge. Continue to the Dades Valley. Dinner and overnight in a hotel in Dades.
Day 3: Dades → Ouarzazate → Ait Ben Haddou → Marrakech
Drive to Ouarzazate with a stop at Kasbah Amridil in Skoura. Panoramic visit of Ait Ben Haddou (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass. Arrival in Marrakech in the afternoon or evening.
