Overview
A 4-day journey connecting Fez and Marrakech through Morocco’s most spectacular landscapes: cedar forests, desert dunes, Berber villages, gorges, kasbahs, and the High Atlas mountains.
Itinerary
Day 1: Fez → Ifrane → Azrou → Midelt → Ziz Valley → Merzouga
Departure at 8:00 from Fez. Stops in Ifrane and the cedar forest of Azrou. Lunch in Midelt. Scenic drive through the Ziz Valley. Arrival in Merzouga, camel ride, and night in desert camp.
Day 2: Merzouga (Exploration)
Sunrise over the dunes. 4x4 tour: visit Berber villages and nomadic communities, fossil quarries, and kohl mines. Stop at Khamlia for Gnawa music. Free afternoon. Second night in camp or hotel in Merzouga.
Day 3: Merzouga → Todra Gorges → Dades
Departure after breakfast. Stop in Rissani (market if coinciding). Walk through the Todra Gorges. Arrival in Dades Valley and overnight in hotel.
Day 4: Dades → Skoura → Ouarzazate → Ait Ben Haddou → Marrakech
Visit Kasbah Amridil in Skoura. Stop in Ouarzazate. Visit Ait Ben Haddou. Cross Tizi n’Tichka with panoramic views. Arrival in Marrakech in the afternoon.
