Overview
A 5-day off-road adventure combining valleys, desert pistes, and the Sahara. From Dades to remote Tafraout Sidi Ali, with a night in Erg Chebbi and a return via Ouarzazate.
Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech → Dades Gorges
Morning departure crossing the High Atlas via Tizi n'Tichka. Panoramic stop and quick exterior visit of Ait Ben Haddou. Continue through Ouarzazate and the Valley of the Roses.
Overnight: Hotel/Riad in Dades.
Day 2: Dades → Tafraout Sidi Ali
Breakfast and departure along desert pistes and backroads, following part of the Dakar route towards Alnif. Cross hamadas and other desert landscapes. Arrive at Tafraout Sidi Ali.
Overnight: Local guesthouse or basic camp.
Day 3: Tafraout → Merzouga Desert (Erg Chebbi)
Travel on desert pistes through Berber villages and rocky areas. Arrive in Merzouga by afternoon. Camel trek to the camp. Dinner and overnight in a desert camp among the dunes.
Overnight: Sahara Desert camp.
Day 4: Merzouga → Ouarzazate
Sunrise in the desert and breakfast. Camel ride back and drive through the Draa Valley and Agdz to Ouarzazate.
Overnight: Hotel/Riad in Ouarzazate.
Day 5: Ouarzazate → Marrakech
Optional visit to Kasbah Taourirt or the film studios. Return to Marrakech via Tizi n'Tichka. Afternoon arrival – end of services.
